"Cursed with the horny"

Films: Horns (2013)

Alias: Ignatius "Ig" Perrish

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: Being accused of murder is tough beans for anyone. But then there's the very forces of Hell thinking you did it. Combine that with relentless press coverage and the actual murderer lurking around, and you've got yourself a really bad day. Or days.

History: Ignatius Perrish had recently been accused of murdering his girlfriend, Merrin. But his hands are clean, not that the press would know it. And to make matters worse, Ig one day wakes up with a pair of horns growing on his head. Apparently, Ig is condemned to become a demon is he does not clear his name and fast. Using his newfound powers, Ig sets out to find the true killer before anything worse happens.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Ig finds that the killer was Merrin's ex-friend. A couple scuffles later, and Ig becomes a full-fledged demon before having a horde of snakes crush the vile murderer and crawl into his body, killing him. Ig then dies from his wounds, entering the Afterlife with Merrin.

Powers/Abilities: Can expose anyone's darkest secrets, as well as control snakes.

Weakness: Anyone wearing holy symbols can deter his powers. Otherwise, anything conventional can kill him.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Ig spends most of the movie just having some magical truth-horns, and doesn't look all that scary. He doesn't act that way either, seeing how he's a good guy. Even as a big red devil, he's still on the side of good, though when he does kill, it's almost always a grisly serpent-related death.

Trivia: -Shia LeBeouf was originally set to play as Ig, but he was then replaced with Daniel Radcliffe.

-This film takes a few liberties from the novel by Joe Hill it’s based on, such as ramping up the villainy of the Merrin's killer and making Ig's brother less complicit in it.
